The origins of Jazz dance style lies with the African-American slave community in the United States. Typical of the Jazz style, there are lots of variations in the use of rhythm, thanks to the African influences.

This dance style became very popular worldwide because of its presence in many Hollywood movies, TV shows, Broadway musicals (such as Chicago and Fame) and video clips from artists like Britney Spears, Michael Jackson and so on.

The lesson starts with a warm-up in which the various body parts are used separately (isolations ) to develop control, followed by technique foundation exercises. Then dance steps, turns, and jumps are practiced across the diagonals and we end up with a choreography which uses all moves that have been taught. This on various styles of pop music.

Jazz can be followed from the 1st grade to adults. The classification is according to level.
